Sunday Night Ignite.Every Sunday night we host a gathering for teens in the area. Activities include music, watching movies, and playing games together, as well as speakers from Hobart County Catholic alumni. Father Kevin and his band "Kevin's Ark" usually play some some tunes during the event as well.
Recent Speakers- November 10th - Chase Reigner Chase Reigner is a Sunday Night Ignite alumni who is now attending the University of Kentucky. He will give a speech about university athletics and the importance of exercise during teenage years. October 17th - Steven Wenaas A professional photographer from Minneapolis, Steve Wenaas has been mixing photography and faith for over 15 years. Some topics discussed included what university to choose if you are looking to study photography. As well as techniques for better lighting and getting great shots at weddings, funerals, and baptisms. September 24th - Christopher Klundt A graduate of Madison university, Christopher is a professional programmer and software developer. A practicing catholic, he talked about the importance of education and learning to achieve happiness. He shared with us his work on a site called StudyBlue, a website where people can get free learning resources. During the month of october they had free studyblue through the site unblur blue, which allowed students here to get free accounts during this special hack month. Normally the service is blurred out, however they removed the blur for this special event. |
